Clean but not stripped!

I have super sensitive, reactive skin with a tendency to develop cystic acne and allergic reactions to many cosmetics. I love this cleanser! You wouldn't think it since it's an oil, but it washes away clean, not oily - almost squeaky clean but without a "stripped" feeling. I do recommend, however, to avoid using it on your eyes. It seems to irritate my eyes which is too bad because it removes waterproof eye makeup really well. Make sure you use it on dry skin.
Glad I didn\'t give up on this face wash

The first few days I used this face wash my skin got painfully dry and I had to take a break from using it. After my skin recovered I went back to using it every other night. The next week I started getting beastly black heads around my mouth which is not normally a place I break out. On a side note, I have had extremely severe acne as an adult and this stuff did not make me break out or cause any acne besides these weird blackhead things. After these blackheads I almost threw this stuff in the garbage because I have no tolerance for breakouts. But I thought of all the positive reviews I had read and didn't throw it away, I just took a few more days off. Finally by week 3 I started seeing real improvements in my skin! Now I've been using it for a couple months and I can honestly say my skin has not looked this good in years! Every night I marvel at how smooth my skin is. Aside from dark scarring left from my acne you would never know I've had bad skin. I use this at night only and I can definitely tell it completely removes my sunscreen and my face feels so fresh! I find I still have to use a face wash after this (dermalogica special cleansing gel) or else my skin gets too dry, as weird as that sounds.

I've been using this oil for over 5 years. I strayed for a bit to try the Shu Uemura cleansing oil...but left me with breakouts. For the price, DHC has the best cleansing oil that keeps my face super happy! I will never leave you again! :)
Love It

I started using DHC many years ago in my late 20's and loved their products. I have since had to move up to the big bang products Retinols and more powerful products for mature but acne prone skin. One product I still can't live without from my youth 30 years later, is the DHC Cleasing Oil! I have tried other brands, but they've burn, made me break out and weren't as effective. I use the DHC as a pre clean at night, it melts the day, makeup and sunblock away, rinses completly and leaves my skin feeling clean. I follow up with my clarisonic and cleanser, but for some skin types it may be the only cleanser you need.

So glad to see them now carrying this cult-favorite! This is my holy grail cleanser for removing my physical sunblock, makeup etc, without over-cleansing or drying. I could not live without this cleanser.

90% or more is nothing but Olive Oil, which we, from Italy, we all use 100 % Olive Oil, not cheap, the good stuff, 100 % first pressed, but still less expensive than this and it is the same thing.
Of course its not the same thing 0

The DHC product is a Cleansing Oil, which means it contains emulsifiers that allow the oil to be rinsed off with water - this prevents oily residue from being left on the skin. If you were to use 100% pure Olive Oil as a cleanser, you would be stuck with oily residue since water cannot fully remove oil without the presence of emulsifiers.

Pure olive oil is used to cleanse the face for years. If you feel like there is any residue, some people follow up with a cleanser for their facial needs (acne, antiaging, etc) with their clarisonic. The olive oil does a great job of removing all makeup so you face is primed for any other products/process. I have dry skin and find that I can use olive oil and rinse my face off without any residue-it just leaves my dry skin moisturized without any irritation. Its worth giving a try if you have dry skin :)
