how to use it
If you have never used a retinoid or your skin is sensitive to topical treatments, you should test a small area of your face and then, wait 24 hours for any kind of reaction. If no reaction, you should apply a small amount to your face once a week for 2 to 3 weeks. Next, apply Green Cream® 3 times a week for a month. Ultimately, your goal should be to work up to applying Green Cream® every other night. Be patient as your skin adapts to a retinol treatment. Even with infrequent applications, you should see some results. Also, it is best that you start with Level 6, (level 3 for sensitive skin) Green Cream®.
After gentle cleansing with a mild soap or cleanser, apply a small amount to the entire face, initially avoiding the eye and neck areas. Start using Green Cream® every other night for 1 to 2 weeks and gradually increase to once or twice daily as tolerated. For maximum benefit, use Green Cream in the evenings when possible as this product can easily be inactivated by light.
Occasionally, a burning or stinging sensation may be felt during the first few weeks of use. Redness or a mild rash can also develop. Discontinue use of the product for a few days and apply a bland moisturizer or mild hydrocortisone cream or lotion as needed. The latter should be discontinued when symptoms are improved.
Flaking may occur since dull sun-damaged cells are being shed and new, younger cells are being stimulated. As needed, using a mild exfoliant followed by a moisturizer can help shed the peeling skin.
I started with this since this is the mildest, but could not see any effect to my skintone. I have already used up half the bottle. Will try level 6 the next time. I like that it is very refreshing when applied, not sticky or heavy.
I started with this level 3 and then after about 6 months I graduated to level 6. This stuff softened my skin and got rid of some of my freckles and brown spots. It also helped with my pores a bit. Well see what another 6 months will bring. So far, I"m happy with this.
Didn't work for my skin at all, i keep hearing how retinol is a miracle product for acne but it just dosen't do it for me..thinking of moving on to a vit c product, maybe obagi...
If you bought this for acne it was the wrong product! Try Pro active. I heard some amazing results. In fact my grandson used it and he has skin like a baby now and clear. Please try it. Its advertized on TV and the is a web site. Just type in PRO ACTIVE!!!@ Good Luck. Jean
M2 Skin Care products work great for acne. The Mandelic Acid kills the bacteria that causes you to break out. Malic Acid helps with hydration. I saw a big improvement in my skin when I started using the products.
I've used level 3 for a while now on the very sensitive regions of my face, while I've switched to using level 6 on the rest. I was worried at first that using a retinol product would make my skin even more irritable, so started with the low potency. My skin has tolerated it well, and after a while, it has even seemed to reduce redness and irritibility.
I have been using Green Cream every night for a few months now and I see NO results. It has done NOTHING for my sun spots. It never agitated my skin, or did anything at all for that matter. May as well have not used it at all. I do not suggest this product, maybe the higher potency ones work better, but I am afraid to try for fear of wasting more money.
I am a horse trainer who spends alot of time outside in the direct sun- I quit using commercially made soaps and went to all natural homemade goatmilk soap- in one month my skin improved dramatically. age spots faded white negative spots gone, no need for moisturizers, my skin has dropped 20 years in appearance. also changed my diet to lots of raw fruits and vegatables, and fish oil- wow what a difference!
Try rubbing lemon on your sunspots and Avon has a great cream called Banishing Cream. Please try. Take the lemon and rub the spots with it . See it fades them. Also there is remarkable cream for this problem, Type in Age or sun spot treatments and it will lead you there. Lemon juice or a whole lemon is Good. Good Luck.
I have been using this product for a month; and it has not made a difference; nor have I even felt any reaction to it's strength. I thought I would begin on the lowest level; based on opinions....total waste of $$$. I'll try Level 6 just to prove myself wrong.
I've been using GC Level 3 for 8 solid months and it has been very effective in controlling breakouts and making my skin look more even toned. I noticed it took a while to begin working (about 3 months), but it was well worth the wait. If you are using this and not peeling/flaking after a few months, I would suggest bumping up to Level 6 or begin applying the Level 3 twice a day.
