La Roche-Posay Active C - Normal to Combination Skin moisturizes your skin as it protects and heals damage. It contains a special formula that binds water to polyols in order to stop the Vitamin C from oxidizing. These polyols promote Vitamin C's penetration of the skin by retaining water molecules within their chemical structure, so that they will not contribute to Vitamin C oxidation.

I love this product. I'm 27 with sensitive acne prone skin. I've been on numerous prescription and over the counter ance medications. This product in combination with M2 12% and La Roche Posay Effaclar Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream have been the best combo of products I've ever used!! This is definitely the key product though! If I go a couple days without using it I start to get some acne, but with it i have clear smooth skin, my pores are smaller and it's diminished my smile and eye creases!! Now I use the one for dry skin in the winter and the one for combo skin in the summer. I highly recommend this product!!
I moved to Denver, CO from MI. I didn't have much acne problem until I moved here. Since it's so so dry here, my combination skin has been over-producing oil every single day to keep my skin from drying out, but sadly the oil doesn't keep my skin moistured but clogs my pores instead. Since the move, my face is Always shiny and with lots of white heads, black heads and tons of really small pimples. I have tried--I don't even remember how many--acne products, but they only make my skin dryer instead of clearing up my skin. I noticed this product randomly when I was looking for a sunscreen, and decided to give it a try. My acne has been improved dramatically JUST AFTER 2 WEEKS OF USE, even my roommate noticed a huge difference and made comments about it!! This is def the best product for the very dry inside, very oily outside, combination acne-pron skin!!! (The only thing I don't like is the smell. The fragrance smells like some cheap car air-refresher.)
I have been using this product for at least 6-7 years and it is the one thing I will not go without in my skin care regimen! My skin is acne-prone and I am very careful of introducing new products to my face. I use Active-C for normal-combo skin and I recommend it without reservation.

This is a high-quality product but I am sorry I paid so much for it- even applied sparingly it irritated my sensitive skin (and I made sure to buy the "Light" formulation) A lot of $$ for something I cant and dont use.
I first heard about putting topical Vitamin C on the face in the book "Skin Type Solution" by Dr. Leslie Baumann and she recommended this brand very highly. Evidently topical Vitamin C comes in many forms but many of them are not effective because of the source of Vitamin C that's used and how it is formulated and packaged. I can tell you that I've used this product for about 7 months,am & pm,in my mid 50's and live in Arizona where it's dry and this product has made such a difference! It has really reduced my pigmentation from too much sun over the years and has increased my collagen levels as I can tell quite a difference in wrinkles/lines and the condition of my skin. I have semi-dry skin. I've used both the one for combination/normal skin and the one for dry skin. This is really a wonderful brand and product and will continue to use it every day. I also recommend the book "Skin Type Solution". It is really a unique book that gives alot of insight about skin types, skin conditions/problems and the best products to use.
