how to use it
Apply a small amount of cleanser to a damp face. Massage for a full 60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
Beware when you order this, you are NOT getting the LaRoche Posay Biomedic product and the ingredients and results do not compare. They are sending an alternate product, even though they show a picture of the LaRoche. Disappointing!
Biomedic was bought by SkinCeuticals a little while back - which is why Biomedic products no longer come in La Roche Posay packaging. It does look like they might have reformulated some of the products when they switched.
I used this cleanser with the acne wash (alternating) and it was fantastic. Then La Roche Posay discontinued their acne wash and the purifying cleanser is okay but as time went by I started seeing breakouts again. I'm not sure why the acne wash was discontinued but I have not found anything close. I am very sad. :-(
I have been using this cleanser for a week now and amazingly it has cleared my acne and impurities out of my skin by 80% so far! I have acne prone skin and also sensitive to acids, etc, but I had no reaction to the glycolic acid on it. It works wonderful on my skin as well as the scrub! I highly recommend these 2 prodicts.
I love this cleanser. I have oily skin with moderate acne and this has been the best cleanser for me and it really takes off dirt and make-up after a long day.
I have oily skin with clogged pores which exasperated both my aesthetician and me for years. I tried many products which gave only temporary, if any results. I am using this product and the conditioning solution at night (Effaclar in the daytime for the matte complexion/oil control). It has been a little over a week and I am amazed at the results. For the first time I do not have to resort to harsh scrubs to cleanse my pores and the areas which were most clogged are smooth for the first time in years. I look younger, I am not an oil slick in the morning and I am more than satsfied. Also love to buy the product with SkinCareRX. The service is always prompt and professional and they keep you informed of every step in shipping the products. I am only giving this a 4 out of 5 just because I have not been using the product very long so I feel my testimonial is incomplete.
I've used BioMedic's products for 15 years and absolutely love them. I've had acne all of my life, this product is gentle and effective. I highly recommend any of their products, especially the purifying cleanser and conditioning solution.
I purchased this product based on the rave reviews on it's acne clearing abilities. It's a great gentle exfoliant, but it has done nothing for my acne. It's great for dissolving away rough, dry skin, but that's about it.
I never thought I would write one of these butttt. At 37 I started to get bad adult acne. I went to the derm, & was give the pill, creams,
& anitibiotics. i got hives from the antibiotics & my skin got worse. i ended up with cystic pustules on my face from the pill, of which i now have scars. the one great thing he introduced me to was this face wash, now I am hooked. I dumped all the creams & the pill(yuck) & use this at night. I read some raves on here about using this and the acne wash, so I started with that in the morning and am surprised to say my skin is starting to look decent again. I am pms'ing and that normally causes my face to look like a horror movie and so far so good!
Biomedic works and does not irritate at all, no matter how often you use it. This keeps breakouts to a minimum. My skin looks great. If I don't use it, wow can I tell - I ran out in December and completely broke out. Great for those of us fighting wrinkles AND acne. I use with the Antibac wash as needed for those times when I am more prone to break out or if I notice my skin is more oily.
I have been using this for nearly 10 years and it is fantastic! I've always had complexion problems due to oily skin and this works better than anything. I use this twice a day with Biomedic Gentle Moisturing Lotion and my skin has never looked better. I highly recommend it.
This product does remove grease and impurities from the skin, but is drying as a result... a little too strong. It might be a nice cleanser for the summertime, especially for those with oily skin, but definitely not suitable for the dry Chicago winter.
I used a friend's tube of the Shielo Complexion Scrub on vacation a few years ago, and couldn't believe she would spend $15 on a cleanser. I usually only spend about $8. But after a few days I was hooked. I won't use anything else now - have one in the shower, one at the sink, one at the bf's house, one for traveling... and it lasts quite awhile - 4-5 months a tube using it twice a day. Skin is balanced (no oil, less dryness, no flaking, no acne), toned, awesome. LOVE this product!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
