This is worth the price. I have tried every other product out there, neutrogena, biore, clean and clear. You have to find the one that works for your skin, and this is it for me. I have oily/combination skin. This clears my skin up very quickly and keeps it clear. I don't have to use any other products with this. Don't let the bad reviews fool you! I reccomend this product to everyone.

My skin is oily and I always have large pores and I often break out. After a facial, the beautician suggested the product and was insisting that I use it because it works miracles and I would not waste my money on other cosmetics, as she said. So, I took her advice and bought it and now I am sure that THIS was a terrible choice! My face got all red spots, like the ones that you get on your skin from sweat or like mosquito bites...I can not describe it very well...but it was awful and very obvious to everyone who looked at me! My skin felt dry, itchy and hurt! At first I thought that this was caused by the facial but after using the product again, I was sure! I stopped using it immediately and used calming creams to fix the problem it created! Maybe my skin reacted badly to one of the ingredients but I would not recommend it! I would also like to note that I am 24 and from the age of 16 I have been trying many different products! Cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, herbal...anything you can imagine and none had this effect before and that is why my opinion is so strong.

I used to use Proactive for years before all the stars started getting hip to it and then it just stopped working and I started getting pimples again. I tried a few things breifly, Aveno, Oil of Olay, Skin Care Rx (I forgot her name but she's a dermatologist with her own products for brown skin) I also use this mineral Makeup (Bare Essentials) and I was thinking maybe its the foods I eat...Anyway the moral of the story is that I thought Murad would work because I saw all the commercials with the people who used to use Proactive and their skin looked so nice. Thought I'd give it a try and now I think my skin is worse than it was in H.S.!! I have dark spots mostly on my jawline and PIMPLES PIMPLES PIMPLES!!! The cooling sensation is great and all, but that doesn't do me any good if my face is still breaking out...lol...Im 27 now and I thought this stage of life would be over but I guess not. Hopefully when I go to the Dermatologist she can make some suggestions. If anyone has any suggestions for a complete skin care system for someone with brown skin without all the nonsense that drys your skin or makes it more irritated, please let me know. :)

I loved the way the cleanser felt while I was washing my face and especially afterwards; however, it did not clear my acne. I even started getting monthly facial from Murad and was not at all effective. I tried to Murad Acne/Oil Skin care line for a year and it did not improve nor worsen my condition.

Cooling sensation from the menthol reminds you that the salicylic acid is killing off acne causing bacteria. Your face will be smooth and clearer with fewer breakouts. This works very well to cleanse without leaving your skin tight or stripped. A little goes a long way so squeeze out a small drop (about the size of a nickel) into your palm, add a few drops of water and then make a lather for your face. I follow up with the Murad Clarifying Toner.
