how to use it

I have been using the Obagi line for some time now and have had good results. Unfortunately, I recently had a very costly accident due to poor packaging with the Elastiderm Eye Treatment Cream. Apparently, the rim of the jar had a small crack along the edge. When I removed the lid, the "bowl" that rests in the jar dislodged and flopped out, onto the bathroom floor! I was so upset! $100 worth of product, gone! I sent an email to the contact information listed on Obagi's website over a month ago but have not received a response. I suggest they redesign the package. Not sure why they feel it necessary to create the illusion that you are getting more product than you actually are. My rating is for the package, not the product.
This is the one eye cream I can say with confidence will rid you of fine lines under the eyes if you use it regularly. The one problem is that once you stop using it, the wrinkles come back...So don't stop using it if it works for you. I have not tried the gel version, because I always prefer cream based products. This is an A product, but wish it was slightly cheaper. I would use it on my entire face (no joke) if I could afford it.
Granted each of us has unique skin factors that cause different reactions. It also helps to use some products that seem to complement others and make them work better. I took a few months off from Elastiderm Eye Treatment Cream using Revaleskin Replenishing Eye Therapy. My under eye area was fine as long as I used the Revaleskin Intense Recovery Treatment too (wonderful product) under my eyes. But a couple of days ago I ran out of the Intense Recovery Treatment, and noticed a difference right away with just the use of the Revaleskin Replenishing Eye Therapy and my retinol at night. Tiny lines were deeper, skin dryer. So I luckily found my last bottle of Elastiderm gel I'd kept to scrape out the tiny bit left as a test. Voila, this morning my under eyes are much less dry and fine lines are almost invisible. I like the gel but prefer the cream because it doesn't rub off/flake off as easily.
I've applied this day and night with no results. My eyes look and feel more dry, and I've noticed that the lines under my eyes are more pronounced. If I apply makeup on top of the Elastiderm, the Elastiderm flakes off. Don't waste your money.
Does anyone know the difference between the obagi eye cream an the obagi night eye cream? I thought there was only one in either a gel or a cream and now I'm seeing a night eye cream. I don't know which one to buy. And the obagi website says nothing about a night eye cream.

Love it, Love it, Love it. It takes a while before you notice it's working, but I've used it for about 6 months now and I'm hooked. I have photogs from a year ago where my eye showed crows feet... no I don't have them anymore!! Thanks Obagi!
This eye cream is OK. I have tried so many eye creams and for the money, I expected better. Also... it doesn't do well under make-up which is important to me. I recommend NeoCutis (and so does my derm) if you are going to spend this kind of money.
I just finished my first jar, which lasted about 4 or 5 months. I only used it at night, to save money. I am 47 and had many fine lines around the outside corners of my eyes. I also had a heavy droop forming above my eyelids. No more! Make up goes on easier and stays looking fresh all day. 90% less fine lines and less of a droop above eyes. I have tried numerous other products and nothing compares. I am ordering more right now!
I followed the instructions properly and decided to only apply to 1/2 of my face to compare the elastiderm with my usual eye routine. I found it did not work at all! In addition I solicited many independent opinions of friends, 2 doctors, and other people. No one could tell a difference. I am mid 40s F. This product overrated and made no change at all compared to the other side!
I'm 42 and have fine lines under my eyes. I used this product for 8 weeks . The product did not work that great for me. When I applied the product it did not penetrate well into the skin. Any rubbing after the application made the product come up and flake off. I also felt like my eyes looked drier .
I was using this product and like other people I was not seeing improvement and my wrinkles actually appeared worse. However, I was using also using makeup remover under my eyes that I didn't rinse off before I applied the elastiderm night eye treatment. I began using the product with clean eyes without residue of any other product under my eyes and the results are amazing. Not only do I not have additional wrinkles but my original wrinkles have completely dissappeared after a couple of weeks of use. Now, I won't go to bed without it!
i am so dissapointed with this product. i use a special soap and make sure my face is clean. been using it for 2 months....wrinkles under my eyes look worse.....i have to apply moisteriser on top b/c it feels terrible on my skin....then if i have to apply make up, it flakes terrible. this has been the biggest rip off i have ever had.
This cream eliminated an irritation in the skin around my eyes. Perhaps something cheaper might work, but until I find something else, will keep buying this cream. No significant difference in lines around eye area.
I did nto see a difference either. I am 36 and this product was highly recommended at the medical spa I go to. It was expensive and thougth with such good results that others saw that I would try it. I bought it. My fine wrinkles under my lower eye lid did not show any improvement.
Literally, I bought this cream from my Dr. Later in the month I had to go on a trip. I flew there and that evening when I went to use my eyecream at least half of it shrank away to nothing. Obviously because it was in my luggage, the air got sucked out of in in route. what to do? I looked all over the obagi web site to find an address or phone number to call. Found nothing, So now ladies you know, DONT put it in your luggage.
I have had very good results using this product.I ran out for a while and the wrinkles were visible. As soon as I started using it agin, they disapeared. Success.
I was very disappointed with this product recommended at my dermatologist's office. Very expensive and I saw no improvement. In fact, along with other reviewers here, it seemed like my fine lines got worse! I did like that it wasn't greasy and I could use it on my eyelids. I had no irritation, but it just doesn't work.
I used this cream for my eyes I see no differents It smells like it has fragance which makes the cream seems like it should be used on my hands instead.
I have used the 5 steps of Obagi Nu-Derm twice daily for almost a year now. Two months ago, I decided to try Obagi Elastiderm Night Eye Cream. I use it twice a day. I could see result around my eyes after 2 weeks, but I could FEEL it already after the 1st application. This is a very ''light''gel that gets absorbed completely within a minute or two. It doesn't feel greasy or heavy. Perfect under make-up! My dark circles has disappeared, the fragile eye skin has been much more elastic and firmer, my ''Happy-wrinkles'' are still there, noticeably less deep and fewer. No stiffness, sagging nor puffiness around my eyes, they looks younger, vital and brighter. After application I use the little rest on my fingers around and on my lips, nostrils and between my eyebrows and it works well even there! I don't need to use any other Eye cream and I still have my expression intact! My warmest recommendations!
I've been using this product religiously for several months now and have noticed no difference. In fact, the one wrinkle near my eye has now turned into 2 wrinkles. Don't waste your money.
I used the cream religiously and I did not see any difference. Maybe after 5 botters, but it is to expensive. The one I recommend is the Obagi Clear, that one is excelent.
Elastiderm is not a moisturizer so it will not give you the temporary visable improvement that a moisturizer will. It is a treatment product used to increase elasticity. Elastiderm will replenish elastin, build collagen and crosslink both. You can use a moisturizer on top of Elastiderm or use Elastiderm PM and Eyecream AM. I use Elastiderm PM and an eye cream by Paradise Valley Skin Klinic called "Eye love it" in the AM. This has taken years off my face. Any eye cream or topical product has it's limit, so try to have realistic expectations. If you have crows feet for example you will not see improvement with any eye cream because this is caused by the muscle and requires botox. If you have dark circles you may need an injectable filler like Restylane .We lose fat in our face as we age, and this can cause wrinkles and give a dark hollw look around the eyes. I found a great Magazine called NEWBEAUTY at the book store. It is very educational.
I am 63 and no difference with this product than any other product that is a name. MD Forte eye cream is better and less. Will not purchase again at the price they charge.
I've been using Obagi's face products for about three years. I've never purchased a product line with such great results. I started to need an eye treatment product recently, as I started to have small lines forming around the inside corner of my eyes. I was very happy to discover their Elastiderm product discounted on Amazon. I've been using it for about a month and like it very much.
I had been using this product for a month. I went on vacation for a week and left my jar at home. Within a week it had dried up to nothing. I emailed and wrote to the company but got no response. I would not recommend this to anyone!
