I have been using OBAGI for 8 years. I am 62 and people are always complimenting me on my skin. I still remember the weeks of peeling and flaking. It was horrible and at times embarrassing. My face could be fine in the morning then later when I looked in the mirror yikes! The flaking! I would just splash tepid water on my face and gently pat dry . this would remove the dead skin. I would never wear facial makeup while using it .

I have been using Obagi now for four years. I use the full Nuderm system for four weeks and then use the full system of C RX for a few months, then the Nuderm again for a month. I am soon going to be 51, and people think I am in my late 30s. Do NOT use this product without consulting a dermatologist or med spa. And you need the whole kit. You're wasting your money if you pick and chose. That's what I did years ago and didn't get good results. Yes, the first 6 weeks were so horrible, I had to run to the dermatologist and see if my face was okay. It itched like there was no tomorrow. Your dermatologist will give you something for the itch if it's unbearable. The redness is going away and I am still peeling, but my skin is getting better and firmer. I will keep using this. Just buy some loose powder in yellow base, to camaflouge the redness.

this worked really well with my skin, i must admit the only skin care that worked for me. it helped with acned and dark spots and i was using this for years but after i learned about the harmful ingredients like parabens and hydroquinone, i had to stop using this product.
I have used the Obaji product line since 2003. I had melasma and deal with rosecea. Since starting with Obaji the melasma is gone (it didn't happen right away - just like the spots didn't show up rapidly) it takes time so stick with it. Just recently my niece said she over heard some ladies at the coffee show say I must have had a face lift - I didn't. I just followed the orders of my skin care specialist. Morning: Clear, Exfoderm Forte, Sunfader; Night: Blender and Tretinoin. Good luck I know you'll get great results! (p.s. Remember though as your skin sheds the dull layers you may look flakey so be prepared to redo your make-up during the day. If I had to do that I just used Cellex-C 30 block since I wouldn't want to redo my morning routine - that would be overkill.)

I just started using this product again at night after cleansing, toning and c-serum, some TNS around eyes and then I smooth thin layer exfoderm on face and neck. within 2 days my skin was so much smoother and more plump. I think it is a great product but choose to use it in the evening as suggested by my DR.
I agree with Lesly...I am using the Obagi system supervised by a dermatologist and I went through the redness, peeling, flakiness, itchiness - it was awful. I chose this system after trying everything else and feeling pretty desperate. Every time I have a break out once a month it leaves brown marks so I have small brown marks on my cheeks, forehead and a little on the side of my neck. After using Obagi for 3 weeks my face felt it was burning as well as flaking, redness and itchiness! But I am persevering as this system cost me a hell of a lot of money. It has left me with darker patches on my skin around my mouth and eyes. Before I didn't feel too bad going out without make up but now I HAVE to wear make-up even if it's just to pop to the shop for a pint of milk! I better see some improvement soon. I've been on this for nearly 5 weeks now and I'm struggling to notice a difference. It helps reading these reviews
I have been using this product for two weeks and It's been the worse thing I've done. I feel so depresed because it has made my face look so bad. PLEASE BE CAREFUL USING THIS PRODUCT. I had a small brown spot on my upper lip now it looks like I have a mustache very dark, a lot darker than before.
I have been reading the reviews on several of the Obagi products and am surprised that people are using one or another by themselves. I have started on the products under the supervision of a professional and am doing it slowly. I notice people talking about using Blender, well I was told Blender is to be used with Tretinoin (a form of Retin A; it is mixed and the Blender helps the other product to be more effective. Tretinoin can only be gotten through a doctors office! Clear should not be used for more than 6 wks at a time.
Please if you are going to use Obagi start out with a professionals advice, you can then buy your products that can be sold without a prescription from SkinCareRX like I plan to.
You should also be using the cleanser(for your skin type) and the toner. Obagi works as a system not using one or another products alone like other lines.

I started using Obagi after some cosmetic surgery.Not only did it reduce redness in my skin, it made my skin look healthier and glowing. It's expensive though and if you can't afford the whole system, start with the cleanser and build on that. You won't be sorry.

I used the Obagi line two years ago and because of the price couldn't afford to keep up the regimen; however, I guarantee you that this line of products is amazing. The results are real and I want to get back on it because Im having lots of acne problems right now. My face did peel when I used it at week 3. So it gets worse before it gets better but once I got over that hump my skin was glowing, no trace of acne, no discoloration, nothing. The way my skin looked after the treatment made me feel a lot better about myself.

I am on my second week using the system and my skin flakes under my lip on the sides and under neath the chin. I am also breaking out in zits and small pimples, but I am seeing results. My darkness in the chin area underneath the lip is starting to even out and underneath my chin on my neck. I have caramel colored skin; so my make up hides the flake. I am going to stick with it because I really believe I will have flawless skin come time for my birthday on Halloween.
