who it's for
This product is perfect for all skin types looking for protection from the sun.
key ingredients
Zinc Oxide blocks harmful UV rays that adversely affect the skin. Dimethicone imparts long-lasting hydration to even the most tired skin. Willowherb Extract acts as an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory agent.
Although at first it comes out as a thick white paste it melts into the skin beautifully. I have acne prone skin and sun damage (and live in Arizona!) so I needed something that won't clog my pores, have a pasty-white finish, be oily, too drying, or not work. I wash with Purpose or Neutrogena, then use Exoderm Forte (to clear the blackheads) then put on a layer of this sunscreen. It seems to work well as a base for my makeup and doesn't get oily later in the day. I've tried other sunscrens and feel most comfortable with this one. One note though: my dermatologist did say that if I were going to be out in direct sunlight (like hiking or playing a soccer game) for me to layer my sunscreen, so I will put this on first, and then Neutrogena dry touch sunscreen SPF 55 (a chemical sunblock, not physical) so I get the best of both worlds. Haven't gotten burned so I think I've found my perfect sun routine!
hard to argue with pure physical sunblock for extra-sensitive skin like mine. just wish it didn't turn me into a ghost. Like previous reviewer said it comes out as a thick white paste. Then it spreads out on your face into a thin white paste.
