Please Note: This product is a physician-strength and physician-dispensed product and requires a telephone consultation with a licensed professional before ordering this product for the first time. Please follow instructions carefully to avoid any harsh skin reactions. The use of Hydroquinone and Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or in children under the age of 12. It is not known whether topical Hydroquinoine or Retinol affects human milk, so its use is not recommended for nursing mothers. Hydroquinone and Retinol can cause sensitivity, so it is recommended to test a small amount of bleaching cream or gel on the skin and wait 24 hours. Minor redness is expected, but if you experience blistering or an excessive amount of inflammation discontinue use. If no lightening is noted after 2 months of treatment, the medication should also be discontinued.

Regimen: Wash with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Do not scrub. Allow skin to dry to 20-30 minutes before applying Tretinoin. It is important for skin to be completely dry to minimize irritation. Apply Tretinoin every other night with Obagi NuDerm Blender as directed by a physician. Use only half an inch of cream to spread over the face. Do not oversaturate the skin. Avoid the corners of the nose, mouth, eyes, and open wounds. If excessive peeling or irritation occurs, then reduce use to two nights a week. If redness, swelling, or irritation continues, discontinue use.
Caution: Therapy with Tretenoin may make your skin more susceptible to sunburn and other adverse effects of the sun. Apply a moisturizer with sunscreen every morning after cleansing. Also, try to avoid excessive exposure to wind or cold.
Be Patient: Tretinoin takes time to work deep within your skin. Some discomfort or peeling may occur in early days of treatment. This should subside in 2 to 4 weeks. By 3 to 6 weeks, acne may worsen. This is normal. Continue using Tretinoin and you should notice an improvement in 6 to 12 weeks.

this is an excellent multi tasker. lines fade, acne marks fade, you will have a clear poreless looking complexion, but i still have one small stubbron brown spot on my forhead but this has lightened it. I am starting over with the .05% treatment then move up with the 1% using only three or four times a week. The cream absrobs so well into the skin, i wish all skin creams would absorb this well. The product needs to be followed directly as the directions state and they are up front as to what happens in the begining so if you can handle it you'll be glad you did!! FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. no more no less and have some patience as you will see success!!!!!!!!!!

you must use a gentle cleanser a good calming moisturizer for the night or day and for the day a good spf of 30 you can use an spf 15 if your makeup application has a built in spf 15. you CAN"T use harsh microsrubbers for your face everyday, a LUKE warm texturized cloth works then put your moisturizer on. Yes this important but if you decide to go with the whole obagi set you are totally set. keep it gentle (soothing skin care) no extra peroxide no salacylic acid, You Know, the harsh acne fighters. This is all you need (tretinoin) to do the JOB You will have do research for the extra (SIMPLE) skin care needed if you're not going to use the whole obagi system. I know i blogged twice but this was important for me to say INCASE you find this product not be all that and little more.

I love this Cream. It's very lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly. I saw results within a few weeks. I'm a skeptic but I love this cream. My brown spots lightened up and my skin was brighter with less noticeable wrinkles.

I have used the obagi brand and recently got a regular prescription for it from my MD. The prescription is twice the amount at 1/3 of the price as the Obagi! I think it works better too. Ask your pharmacy what they charge for the MD scrip!

I'm 50 and recently went to a plastic surgeon for the first time to have Botox for a deep frown crease between my eyes. At the same time, I asked him about the possibility of having a face lift. He suggested I give the Obagi line a try for a couple of months first and he bet that I wouldn't be asking for surgery at the end of the trial. He was right! I've been using the Nu-Derm and tretinoin products for about 6 weeks now and cannot believe the improvement in the texture and look of my skin. I experienced minor flaking in the beginning but that resolved within a couple of days. The only thing more I could wish for is that the products weren't quite so expensive but there ya go. You can't have everything. :-)

There might be some negative feedback about this product, but for me after using Obagi System Travel Kit for 6 months, my skin had completely changed to a young looking smooth skin. I used to have lots of acne scar and brown pigmentation, but now it's gone. I did not notice the transformation of my skin until majority of my friends told me my skin looks younger than before. I was even surprised when my eye doctor told me I look younger than my age. And he said because of my skin. Since I was prone to getting acne when I was a teenager, I used to hate my skin face. The acne scar did not go away until I used obagi product. Now, I only used the maintenance part of Obagi System and Tretinion cream is one of my favorite.

I have been using this for over three months, and it just makes the skin around my mouth flake. I expected my skin to peel/flake for a few weeks, but not this long! There are no improvements in my skin.

I started using this retinol purchased from a dermatoligst/surgeon ., Used it for six mths, I noticed my hair was getting thin, then thinner, and now I have half the hair I use to! This is the only chemical I have been using , I googled it and found others who have experienced this nightmare, I am 51 and have half the hair I had before starting to use it.It is in the trash can. I just wanted to warn users to be carefull!, I would much rather have wrinkles than little hair my hair was more than half way down my back, just got it cut to my shoulders! thanks to retin A,very very depressing to lose your hair trying to get rid of wrinkles! Just google you will find others who have experienced hair loss,

I think this product is really good. When I first used it I was breaking out, but I'm used to that, lol so I just kept using it. I've been using it for for 2 months almost three and my face is clearing. Its wonderful. I still have a few light acne scars but they are not deep. I think with time of using this cream it will help. I encourage those with mild acne.

A absolutely outstanding product. I've stubborn melasma and acne for years that haven't responded to any products I've tried. (And I've tried the best.) In 6 months, this item + blender have completely changed my complexion. It's clear, smooth, acne-free, hydrated (which it's never been -- I had oily, dehydrated skin), amazing. Also noticed my crepey undereye area improving, which is a plus. I'll never switch products again. Lots of peeling at first, but your skin adjusts and continues to improve. A winner.

I completed 18 weeks of the Obagi System and have found all the products to be excellent. When I returned to work after an 8 mo. abscence, my co-workers thought I'd had a face-lift! If usesd correctly, the Tretinoin is the real work-horse of the entire treatment. The sun-blocker is also one of my favorites and doesn't burn around the eyes. I cannot imagine anyone finding fault with any of the Obagi products. Fabulous!

I've been using the Obagi Tretinoin Cream now for several days. I used to get Tretinoin Cream from my dermatologist and The Obagi Tretinoin Cream is not even close to the same. The Cream is very oily, not drying at all. It leaves a sticky, oily film on your skin that causes you to break out. You do not need to worry about it drying or flaking around your nose, lips or eyes, because as I said, it is very oily. It's almost like rubbing Crisco on your face. In 3 days of using the cream, my face since has broken out all over and I'm now back to plain old soap & water. I have very serious doubts that there is any actual tretinoin in this cream. I believe wholeheartedly this cream is a fake counterfeit and I'm asking for my money back.

I used the 6 step Obagi products for over 5 years. Just in the past year I moved to a remote area 41 miles from nearest town and no phone or internet access till recently. I noticed a fantastic difference in my skin during use and some little decline since I had to stop. I am so over joyed now that I can start up again. I never want to be without my Obaji Products ever again. I have a much younger husband and most people think he is my age. HA! HA! Lucky me sad for him, maybe..... He truly doesn't care he just loves me and my beautiful OBAJI skin.

I never post reviews. The only 2 reasons why i'm doing this is b/c I look for reviews all the time, and I feel it's time I contribute; and b/c this product is unbelievable. I started using the NU-Derm cleanser,toner,exfoderm, & about 1 month later started using the tretinoin mixing it w/the blender. Mind you, I have only been using it once a day due to $$$$, and the lines on my forehead (which is what bothered me the most) have diminished. I have only been using this product for about 2-3 wks and I already see a difference, I can't wait to see how long term usage will be like. I did start using the vitamen C serum at the same time I started the tretinoin, so i'm not sure if that has anything to do w/it. I recommend the vitamen C serum, as well.

it really works, just make sure to use a spf15 sun fader to protect damage from skin.
