Please Note: This product is a physician-strength and physician-dispensed product and requires a telephone consultation with a licensed professional before ordering this product for the first time. Please follow instructions carefully to avoid any harsh skin reactions. The use of Hydroquinone and Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or in children under the age of 12. It is not known whether topical Hydroquinoine or Retinol affects human milk, so its use is not recommended for nursing mothers. Hydroquinone and Retinol can cause sensitivity, so it is recommended to test a small amount of bleaching cream or gel on the skin and wait 24 hours. Minor redness is expected, but if you experience blistering or an excessive amount of inflammation discontinue use. If no lightening is noted after 2 months of treatment, the medication should also be discontinued.
Regimen: Wash with a mild, non-medicated cleanser. Do not scrub. Allow skin to dry to 20-30 minutes before applying Tretinoin. It is important for skin to be completely dry to minimize irritation. Apply Tretinoin every other night with Obagi NuDerm Blender as directed by a physician. Use only half an inch of cream to spread over the face. Do not oversaturate the skin. Avoid the corners of the nose, mouth, eyes, and open wounds. If excessive peeling or irritation occurs, then reduce use to two nights a week. If redness, swelling, or irritation continues, discontinue use. Caution: Therapy with Tretenoin may make your skin more susceptible to sunburn and other adverse effects of the sun. Apply a moisturizer with sunscreen every morning after cleansing. Also, try to avoid excessive exposure to wind or cold. Be Patient: Tretinoin takes time to work deep within your skin. Some discomfort or peeling may occur in early days of treatment. This should subside in 2 to 4 weeks. By 3 to 6 weeks, acne may worsen. This is normal. Continue using Tretinoin and you should notice an improvement in 6 to 12 weeks.
What I heard is that high % of Hydroquinone could cause cancer. so I guess 4% Hydroquinone might be quite high for safety issue. I think that's why it's been suspended.
2006 FDA suspected cancer from animal test of Hydroquinone. FDA asked to stop selling this product. I guess they just asked... so you still can buy it from some other website. Hydroquinone is very effective but after using it long time doctors found serious side effect for some people. It will make skin hard and leave dark spot. I like this product but I think I should try something safe like vitamin iontophoresis.
Please will someone help, I am black and suffer from hyperpigmentation. I have been looking at the obagi creams but I am a little unsure if it is the right thing, can anyone tell me if this would work for me. Also if it is not for sale why is it all over the web here in the U.K.?

I've been using it for the last 3 years and it's sheer magic! I'm 60, and don't look a day older than 50. I get enough compliments to throw out the window. I'm not about to go back to how I looked three years ago, so I'll find it, whatever it costs.
Like the other reviews, I have a lot of money invested in this product. I have used it faithfully for overs three years. I have always return to your company to buy the Obagi products.. If something is not done quickly you will loose many customers, if you haven't already. .
I hope this product returns! You will lose me as a 3 year customer, if you do not. I have also referred many friends and family to this product and they feel the same way!!

I don't want to use that other crap product. I need pharmaceutical strength for my acne. This product has done wonders for my skin and I was planning on being a loyal customer to skincarerx. NOW NOT SO MUCH. Very disappointing.
I have used tretinoin for years and have been completely satisfied with it. I decided to try and save money this time and order the OBAGI tretinoin. I think it is good, but nowhere near as good as the prescription brand. This dried my face out horribly, but it doesn't make it peel. Your skin may feel tighter, but I think its because it is so dry.
I began using Obagi products in Nov. of 2008. I will not use anything else. The products really do work. It's really amazing. Several of the products are for the eye area and do wonders on the entire face. It's gets expensive- until something better comes out it's well worth it.
This cream ALWAYS does the trick when nothing else helps. If my skin is breaking out or blotchy or just dull-looking, this cream ALWAYS fixes the problem and makes it perfect and healthy again.I could never go anywhere without this! Absolutely LOVE it! NEVER stop making this one, Obagi!
This product is amazing; I have had freckles almost all my life. I recently had IPL and with the help of this amazing products. My freckles are clear. Not only the my freckles is gone but the wrinkle and fine line also dissaprear. Best thing I ever invested.
I've been using trentinoin with blender off and on for the past year. It is awesome! Within just a few days it starts working its magic and all the old layers of skin start peeling off. I use Dr. Brandt's microdermabrasion cream to slough off the peeling skin every other day, in the morning. I do start to break out initially; but the acne clears up very quickly due to the trentinoin. It gets all the breakouts that were already under the skin but haven't appeared yet to come to the surface and heal. So yes, your skin has to get worse before it gets better. But it's totally worth it because you will NOT get another breakout if you use the regimen religiously. But I must advise you to be careful; if you think your skin has adjusted too much to
the trentinoin/blender mixture do NOT put the trentinoin on full strength (as I did and had to let my face heal for a week or more). Just use a little less blender:)I recommend the trentinoin as well as the entire nu derm system and the professional c-serum.
I'm 56 years old. My skin is in better condition than ever. I've used Obagi for 2 years. I'll go without new shoes in order to get my Obagi! This is the best product I've ever used. It will take years off of your face.
i,ve been using it for about 2 weeks and my acne and pores already looks much better.but iam a little worried that after a while my skin goes back to not being great. but so far its been very good so thank you obagi for giving me a better life:)

I began using obagi tretinoin cream 0.1 % about 2 weeks ago. I have fell in love with this product. My skin is looking and feeling so so much better. My skin looks 10 years younger it has given me a beautiful healthy glow and I am 49 years old! My fine lines are deminishing and my skin tone is more even. My dr. said once I begin this product I would be hooked and she was so so right! I recommend this product 100%.
I ordered this product off amazon and love it only thing is Im not sure if I am using it right. Alon with acne I am also prone to fever blisters(cold sores) and since I have started I have had fever blisters twice in one month. I also use obagi clenziderm for oily skin.
I use this with proactive which I do twice a day. I use the 3 system but always buy the facial mask. Will use the proactive three step first than the tretinon but only twice a week bc it will dry out the skin than use the obagi sunfader which you can use twice a day will help with marks than use the proacitive refining mask. I also get chemical peels once a month. And people compliment my skin all the time. Also eating right helps as well of course but make sure that ur buying it from a good dealer some of the products can be fake even from amazon. People have been busted selling fake instylers and other products there. So I suggest buying it from a physican or an aesthesians office. Obagi can help you find someone near you who sells it on there site. Also another reason I wouldn't use it daily is bc there are some studies that say it might cause cancer if used too much. SO I limit that product to twice a week and it seems to do the job. Hope this helps.
I tried this out back in June 2008. I love my skin now!! LOVE it. No more acne, blemishes, brown spots faded away. Skin feels tighter, pores are smaller. Makeup goes on smoothly. I love this. Unfortunately, I am still a sucker for 'home shopping' skin care products and their demonstrations. After watching, I'm sooo tempted to buy something and try it. Or try them again. I've spent thousands of dollars in the past trying new products. Only to put my skin through bunch of products that don't ever do what they claim to do. My skin suffered for years. But now I go online to Skin Care Rx and click on my Obagi! I've learned my lesson.
This is the most amazing product. I am a smoke and had several fine lines as well as a few deeper ones, Not to mention breakouts. I am 45 and people are now teling me I look like I am in my 30's. Amazing results. I started with the prescribed dosage and now use it daily and the RESULTS ARE AMAZING! Better than a face lift and uch better than the expensive high end dept store products I had been using with no result with the exception of a poorer bank account.My friends think I have had laser treatments! I have cystic acne which stays hidden like bubbles under the skin...Im telling you this cream totally devours the acne. I have been using it for about a week and my acne is gone..there is a little peeling and burning, but i swear this is the only thing that has ever worked for me and i've tried it all!!!!! I will keep using this-its "a miracle in a tube"!!!!
ive been using tretinoin for the past 2 years and no wrinkles have formed on my skin no sign of them what so ever people think im 29 or 30 but i will be 39 in a couple of months this cream is not so expensive when you compare it to the department store creams or the other doctor brand creams which i see priced at $200 dollars.
This stuff is fantastic! The couple of people I told about it, ordered it because of the difference they saw in my skin. It is potent, so you must follow directions. In the beginning, I used it more often than perscribed and had a slight reaction. Once I followed the prescription directions, I've had excellect results.
