how to use it
Apply a few drops to your face, neck, and chest in the morning. If you are using the Obagi-C Rx line, you will want to replace it with the C-Clarifying Serum to boost the Vitamin C benefits, but not until after sufficient lightening results have been achieved.

This product, so far, feels like a nice C serum. With all of these, it can be hard to tell if they are working as you just had to kind of trust that it's doing what it's supposed to. I have used retinoids for years so I don't expect to see dramatic results with C (and haven't with other C serums in the past) because my skin is already being exfoliated and 'treated' so regularly. That being said, I'm trusting that C serums are providing additional photo aging protection and the other claims that all of them make. I find this serum goes on very sticky at first (4 drops cover my face) and I have to let it really soak in for a bit before I put on sunscreen and/or makeup. That being said, I think all the various C serums I've used have been like this. I've been using it for several weeks and so far, so good, I sometimes wonder how much better any one brand is than another (Cellex-C vs. Skinceuticals vs Obaji, etc. etc.)
I am an african american female and brought the obagi serum along with the clenziderm normal to oily skin kit to help improve my acne and hyperpigmentation. I will say I have a glow to my skin after 6 weeks of use with the clenziderm however, I cant really gauge if this product is attributing to helping with the hyperpigmentation since I dont use it daily. Nonetheless I will continue to use it a few times a week and follow up on my results. I would say buy the product when you catch a sale and see what happens. I am new to the obagi line and very impressed with the clenziderm products.
I've been using this for a week and realized that the 15% is too strong for my skin. Then reading further, they do suggest the 10% for sensitive, dry or reactive skin, and that's mine. So for anyone who has sensitive or reactive skin, i'd go with the 10%. Wonderful product overall, but 15% is too strong for my skin and wanted to advise and help others. :)
I just got this today. I have light-fair skin, mild redness & it's certainly sensitive. It didn't sting or irritate my skin upon putting it on. The consistency is fine and sinks right into your skin. I ordered this along with PCA's brightening therapy lotion & La-Roche Posay Intensive lotion. My objective is to clear, vibrant, healthy & hydrated skin. I'll write more after I've used it for 2-4 weeks to really see results. :)
I use this daily and have seen great results. My skin is clearer and I also like the texture of this C Serum. Some are so runny that they are difficult to apply and this one has a little more substance to it.

I am 43 and have and olive complexion. While the obagi nu-derm system evened out my skin tone-I had dark spots from sun damage and hormone replacement, my skin still looked shallow and dull. Well no more! This product has given it a healthy glow I haven't had for many years. Love it!!!
I absolutely love Obaji! I have used the Nu-Derm line for over 3 years with fantastic results. I just recently added the professional c serum 15%, and after 1 month, my skin is clearer and glowing! I've had sun damaged skin and dark spots which went away with the Obaji products!
