I went to my dermatologist a few years ago to get help for my melasma (darker areas on my face - I am caucasian). She did a Blue Peel and told me to use the Phyto+ as part of my new skin regimine. I used it religiously every night before bed. The peel made my skin look fresh, smooth, and took away some of my melasma but not all of it. The Phyto+ broke up the rest of my melasma and made it start to fade away. (She prescribed 4% Hydroquinone at 1st, but I had a bad allergic reaction to it - so she said use Phyto+ instead). I used the Phyto+ till I ran out of it and just ordered some more through this website. I can't wait to use it to get rid of the rest of my discolorations. It does lightly tint/stain the skin that you put it on and if you use your fingers to apply it, your fingers will be green too. After you take your shower and apply your lotion/moisturizer, the green tint will be gone.

Per the SkinCeuticals description of Phyto+, its active ingredients “interrupt melanin production”. I am 49 years old and without any wrinkles. As a black woman and a sun-loving tennis player, I know that “my” melanin is my built in sunscreen; a huge reason for the great skin. I do not want to interrupt the melanin production. Hence, I only use Phyto+ as a spot treatment on a hyper-pigmented area and after a deep cleansing facial. But, for only about a week after the facial.

My plastic surgeon gave me Phyto + to use prior to having a facelift in order to even out my skin tone. I have lived in Texas all my life and have sun-damaged skin. After only 2 weeks of using this product, there is considerable improvement in my skin tone--less redness (especially on my nose) & a lightening of brown spots and redness overall. I plan to keep using this product from now on.

My dermatologist suggested that I mix the Phyto+ with a drop of IS Clinical Hydracool and it worked well for me. I'm not sure if it was the combination of products or whether either would work well on its own, by I've been using them together for several months and have seen my blemishes fade and my pores have become much smaller.

I recently recieved a sample of the product while visiting a spa. I was apprehensive to use at first, due to the fact I suffer from sensitive skin and have been told I may have rocasea. To my surprise after just one application the redness in my checks has faded considerably! The product works best in conjunction with Bare Minerals.

I have been using this product for approx. 2 years as an alternative to hydroquinone. Works very gradually. During summer will get some pigmentation back, even with sunscreen, continued use in fall and spring resolves whatever I have gained back.

I've been using Phyto+ for four years and it works for me. You won't see immediate, dramatic results with half a bottle. However, over time it does work. The reason I chose this botanical product over hydroquinone-based products is because I continue to live an active life full of sunshine. Hydroquinone works faster and more dramatically, but it makes your skin even more sensitive to the sun, so if you use hydroquinone, you need to stay out of the sun or risk ever deeper hyperpigmentation. Phyto+ works slower but does NOT increase the sensitivity of your skin to the sun. In fact, it protects against the sun at the same time as it fades existing spots. So, as someone who will continue to live a sun-filled lifestyle, I strongly prefer Phyto+ over any hydroquinone product. (Always wear sunscreen!)

True, this product cannot compete with benzyl peroxide and hydroquinone treatments. However, I applied it to my entire face and, about a month later, am seeing the results - my skin is clearer and smoother. Not lighter, but brighter and healthier looking. I use it in conjunction with Benefit's Wonderlift for the eyes and face, and the two are a great combo.

The Photo alone did nothing for me. i used it with C10 it works a little. Then I stop using C10 and used just photo alone it did nothing. So I wonder the C10 or C20 alone would works.
