stings and hasn\'t improved my moderate rosacea

This product has gotten a lot of press coverage and I was very excited to try it. Unfortunately after using it for a week, it has done nothing at all to help with my moderate rosacea. It's supposed to help calm the burning and flaring immediately but instead, it stings when I first apply and then it does nothing. The blotchiness and red spots are still there. At least it hasn't caused any breakouts. I think the only thing that truly helps rosacea is IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy.

I'm a cosmetic and product junkie, and I'll try anything once--with closets full of products as a testament to my quest to find the perfect treatments for my skin. I'm oily with some bizarre endocrine disruptions that have caused severe peri-oral cystic acne flares after a decade of my having perfectly clear skin. I had C02 resurfacing in December, which strips your skin down to the lower level of the dermis, basically beyond a bad third-degree burn. This treatment addressed that redness nearly miraculously. To date, I use it in the areas of my face still red from the C02, as well as where I use topical clindamycin or clindamycin paired with Retin-A, which can be highly irritating to skin. If I use this treatment twice daily, my skin looks perfect. And post-C02 redness is notorious for persisting for up to 18 months post-treatment. I'm on my fifth purchase of this product, which is some kind of record for me. For widespread rosacea, given that this disorder is multi-factorial, one should also address known triggers, which can include stress, diet, and topical and environmental irritants. A single product is not going to prove a miracle cure for rosacea, unless the redness is mild and confined to only one or two peripheral areas on the face.
