Ascorbic Acid is extremely inexpensive, as are all the other ingredients that I recognize. You're really just paying about $100 for branding/great marketing on a $14 serum. I've tried this as well as the Phloretin. The Phloretin made a bigger difference in my skin (very soft and glowy), but it started to give me little bumps on my cheeks, so I switched to serum 20. I have good skin to begin with, but I'm always trying to make it look better. I don't really notice a difference like I did with the Phloretin. This one does tend to make my dry skin a little bit flakey sometimes. I'm going to keep searching for the perfect C serum. I'll probably try Cellbone next. Similar ingredients as skinceuticals at a more reasonable price.

This stuff is exceptional. I have tried everything to bring back the glow and even tone to my sun damaged, lackluster skin...including retin a, lasers, obagi, etc. The combination of this treatment with Hydrating B5 Gel has made a huge difference in my skin...it's glowing and more even. I'm going to stock up on some more while the sale is still going on on skincarerx.
I have super sensitive, fair skin. Skinceuticals was recommended for me at the doctor's office. I started out with the 10% Vitamin C - and it stung a little at first. I eventually graduated to 15% - and am now using this 20% with no stinging or irritation. I've had amazing results with these Vit. C products. If I could afford nothing else in the line, I would still find a way to get this Vitamin C product. If you have fair, sensitive skin, however, I'd suggest building up to the 20%. Skinceuticals has renovated by 57-year-old skin. I do also use Mama Lotion and Kinerase at night, since my skin is too sensitive for retinol or glycolic products. They have been perfect exfoliators for me. Occasionally, I still have allergic skin reactions from foods I eat - and that is just my life - but my skin is better now than when I was in my 30's! I love this website!!
