Best Acne Soap Ever
Posted 11/14/2014 by Tessa
My daughter has tried everything for her clogged pores and blackheads. We tried the complete acne kit and after about 10 days she noticed a difference. The products work best in combination but she can not do without the soap. Thoroughly cleansing and gently but effectively. Once a week use a facial scrub too.
Wash your acne-prone face with SOAP? YES!

I began using this product about a year ago, when I tried out all of the products in Arcona's 'Problem Skin' system. In short, I love this cleansing bar! I was hesitant to wash my acne-prone face with soap -- what? -- and I was skeptical about the glowing reviews I had read everywhere: how could a simple cleansing bar clear up the acne that Accutane and Retin-A and benzoyl peroxide could not clear up? For this gal, it worked. Caveat: it does not work overnight; however, you WILL likely see some improvement right away. I feel like Arcona's packaging even says something like, 'Benefits improve with cumulative use' -- it's very true. Be patient, stick with it, and don't deviate from the instructions in the problem skin system, and you WILL see clear, beautiful skin. While I still get the occasional bump or two, they are smaller (thus easier to conceal with make-up) and rarely part of a full-fledged breakout. The product is convenient for travel (no 3 oz liquid nonsense because it is a SOLID!) and even comes in its own case, which is handy for keeping it protected if you store it in your shower. It lasts a LONG time (I have maybe gone through three of the bars in one year?) and it smells great. Your skin will feel clean and fresh after you use it, never dry or stripped. I highly recommend this bar as part of the Problem Skin system.
An acne soap that works??!!!

I've never liked bar soaps. They always left my skin with a squeaky feeling or like a layer was left even after rinsing. And while this bar soap is no exception, i still love it because it works. To fix the 'squeaky' feeling problem i use a toner afterwards, problem solved. This has never dried out my skin or irritated it. It doens't remove makeup very well, but i use the Jane Iredale magic mitt to remove makeup so i can use a cleanser that focuses on my skin's needs and not harsh detergents to get makeup off. The price is extremely steep for a glycerin based soap, but the results i've gotten with it and the Arcona Solution pads and Vitamin A complex are worth every penny. My skin is clear and old acne marks have faded. This brand actually delivers. I gave it four stars because the price is too high and for the 'squeaky' issue.

For years I've used natural skin care products but have stayed away from 'bar' type cleansers. They always made my skin feel rather 'sticky' no matter how much I rinsed. I LOVE this products. It helps keep my skin much clearer, feeling smooth, and my face feels clean but neither stripped nor sticky. I use it with my Clarisonic or a special exfoliating cloth I have. It smells great, is surprisingly foamy, and you don't need to use much. This is a great cleanser and a wonderful line.
