This review marks exactly 6 months since I've used the serum daily, and I have to say that it's worth every penny. Noticable results came slowly and real results were seen after four months, already when I was on my 2nd bottle. But my skin is definitely firmer, lines are noticably diminished and skin discolorations are mostly faded, though not 100% gone.
Note: I found the serum is most effective if I apply it and wait an hour before applying anything on top - such as a moisturizer. Before, if I used moisturizer immediately after application, it worked fine. However, adding this wait made the product work exponentially better. It was then that I saw real results take off! Because of the wait, I only use it at night, but 1x per day is still plenty enough.
For the past month I've been using this serum along with the Pigment Bar, Nutrient Toner, C-Strength 15% and Silkcoat Balm and the results I've experienced are very promising. I'm experiencing noticable melasma fading and an overall brightening of my skin tone. This serum does sting a bit when applied but it fades away after a few minutes. Expect some initial skin redness and sensitivity until your skin gets used to it.
This cream really helps my skin regain its suppleness and moisture levels. It feels creamy but it acts like a balm - it doesn't sink in all the way. Instead it leaves a thin comforting barrier to protect the skin. Very rich and the perfect moisturizing compliment for anti-aging treatments that dry the skin out.
This is a nice starter experience for the PCA Skin pigment control product line and most importantly, my melasma really has been fading away since I've been using PCA Skin! All in all, it's a great way to sample and figure out what you need in the full-sized products. I found the pHaze 13 Pigment Gel and pHase 5 Nutrient Toner effective enough to buy full-sized. However, the pHaze 23 A&C Synergy Serum stained my skin brown a bit so I didn't like that, and the pHaze 1 Facial Wash was a bit drying when paired with the rest of the line (I have dry skin to begin with) so I'm using a more gentle cleanser. The moisturizers were fine but I prefer something richer - though these should be great for most people.
