First harvested on the Horn of Africa, along the Red Sea, the whole Coffee plant was used by Ethiopian tribes. They crushed the fruit of the plant, the Coffee Cherry, for nourishment. Coffeeberry Extract is derived from the Coffee Cherry. When this fruit is harvested at sub-ripe growth, the flesh contains powerful antioxidants. Coffeeberry is so abundantly rich in antioxidants because it grows in high altitude, low-latitude regions where the sun's rays are at their peak. As the plant develops, it becomes increasingly more antioxidant-rich to protect itself from sun damage.
Coffeeberry Extract contains the most natural antioxidants of any fruit, vegetable, or tea that has so far been tested by ORAC method (endorsed by USDA). It has a minimum ORAC value of 15,000, which is three times more concentrated than Green Tea and eight times more than Pomegranate Extract.
