This does the job. I really love it. Try not to apply too much. I took a chance from Dr. Baumann after reading her book. Many more of La Roche Posay I love like gentle cleanser.
It really works!!

I have been using the Effaclar Duo product for many years. I started with the Biomedic product called Antibac, but it was discontinued by La Roche-Posay and replaced with this one. I am 59 years old. Lots of breakouts around my mouth, chin and nose areas. It seemed like nothing worked. So I combined this with the SkinCeuticals product called Blemish and Age Defense. Once I did both, my skin cleared again. I also get regular facials and recently had one with 35% Salicylic Acid and 30% Glycolic. This worked great and now my skin is smooth and refreshed.

I really love this product, if I am getting a bump, I put it on and by the am, it is gone! I live in Colorado, where it is dry as a bone, & it doesn't dry out my face like other zit creams do.
Finally something works!!!

I am a 57 year old women who has had bad skin on and off for years. With menopause came some very sensitive, thin skin and lots of whiteheads, zits and wrinkles. Last year I tried prescription retin A which only made things worse and my face was beat red. After a severe breakout last month I read some reviews on a blog about this product and tried it. My skin is clear and getting better everyday! I used this product alone for the first week, then started mixing it with Aveeno clear complexion moisturizer. (another hot tip from the blog) I now use it only once a day, mixed, in the morning, then the Aveeno at night. Using benzoyl at night is a problem for me, if it somehow gets in my eye area, from the pillow case I assume, my eyes get very puffy. I also started taking some zinc supplements and notice that my skin heals faster from any kind of trauma. Hope this helps someone out there, it's been a long struggle for me, but I'm really happy with this routine. : )

This stuff is the best!! I have VERY sensitive skin so i knew to take precautions when I first started this. I applied my regular lotion(to combat the dryness) and a small amount of Effaclar Duo to get my skin use to it(and applied it before bed to help the skins renewal process). I had minor breakouts in the beginning, as one typically does when you start a new product, but I didn't let that stop the applications.(I have been dealing with Acne for 20 yrs). Fast forward to 8mos later and my skin is 99% clear. I still apply my lotion first but now I use Effaclar all over my face day/night. I believe I've avoided the awful redness and drying effects because I started off slowly and use lotion as well(a tip my dermo gave me years ago when I tried retin-A). If you have tried everything else, try this, start slowly, use moisturizer and give it time!!! :-)

My esthetician recommended this product for my acne. I used it immediately after getting a microdermabrasion and it was awesome. The effectiveness has slowed down a bit but I'm sure it will pick up after I get my next facial. Products always work really good after a skin care procedure. I think it's a bit pricey but I haven't found another benzoyl peroxide topical treatment that doesn't dry out like this one. I would recommend.
