It can get rid of acne overnight though it dries my skin a little bit. But it's so effective. Love it!

Dries skin a lot

May consider apply it not too much and not too often. First try with one time per day, and increase depends skin condition. If apply too much, the skin would get dry a lot!!!!
Good for acne

I got this and put on my acne. I found out I can put this under my foundation and don't look cakey. I love this for day use.

Good for big pumps

I got several big pumps. And Effaclar Duo really works on that！
It is good for spot treatment

At first, it was really bad when I first put on the whole face, however, it burnt my face really, really bad. Then I started to use it only on spots when it has acne or blemishes. It works wonderful.
Works real well on mild acne

One tube will last you for a long time since a little goes a long way. Dabbing a small amount before your night time moisture routine or sometimes even on top of the moisture routine will show immediate results by the day after. Do not expect this to work on severe acne or cystic acne. I've had all sorts of acne, but it only works best for small tiny mild white heads that are about to be ripe.

I have been using this for more than half year so far. I really love how it helps clean my pores especially for my nose area. Definitely will buy again!
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
Posted 4/10/2015 by Sofia
This does the job. I really love it. Try not to apply too much. I took a chance from Dr. Baumann after reading her book. Many more of La Roche Posay I love like gentle cleanser.
It really works!!

I have been using the Effaclar Duo product for many years. I started with the Biomedic product called Antibac, but it was discontinued by La Roche-Posay and replaced with this one. I am 59 years old. Lots of breakouts around my mouth, chin and nose areas. It seemed like nothing worked. So I combined this with the SkinCeuticals product called Blemish and Age Defense. Once I did both, my skin cleared again. I also get regular facials and recently had one with 35% Salicylic Acid and 30% Glycolic. This worked great and now my skin is smooth and refreshed.

I really love this product, if I am getting a bump, I put it on and by the am, it is gone! I live in Colorado, where it is dry as a bone, & it doesn't dry out my face like other zit creams do.
Finally something works!!!

I am a 57 year old women who has had bad skin on and off for years. With menopause came some very sensitive, thin skin and lots of whiteheads, zits and wrinkles. Last year I tried prescription retin A which only made things worse and my face was beat red. After a severe breakout last month I read some reviews on a blog about this product and tried it. My skin is clear and getting better everyday! I used this product alone for the first week, then started mixing it with Aveeno clear complexion moisturizer. (another hot tip from the blog) I now use it only once a day, mixed, in the morning, then the Aveeno at night. Using benzoyl at night is a problem for me, if it somehow gets in my eye area, from the pillow case I assume, my eyes get very puffy. I also started taking some zinc supplements and notice that my skin heals faster from any kind of trauma. Hope this helps someone out there, it's been a long struggle for me, but I'm really happy with this routine. : )

This stuff is the best!! I have VERY sensitive skin so i knew to take precautions when I first started this. I applied my regular lotion(to combat the dryness) and a small amount of Effaclar Duo to get my skin use to it(and applied it before bed to help the skins renewal process). I had minor breakouts in the beginning, as one typically does when you start a new product, but I didn't let that stop the applications.(I have been dealing with Acne for 20 yrs). Fast forward to 8mos later and my skin is 99% clear. I still apply my lotion first but now I use Effaclar all over my face day/night. I believe I've avoided the awful redness and drying effects because I started off slowly and use lotion as well(a tip my dermo gave me years ago when I tried retin-A). If you have tried everything else, try this, start slowly, use moisturizer and give it time!!! :-)

My esthetician recommended this product for my acne. I used it immediately after getting a microdermabrasion and it was awesome. The effectiveness has slowed down a bit but I'm sure it will pick up after I get my next facial. Products always work really good after a skin care procedure. I think it's a bit pricey but I haven't found another benzoyl peroxide topical treatment that doesn't dry out like this one. I would recommend.
