Rosacea: Reducing the Redness
You may be experiencing the symptoms of rosacea and not even be aware of it! Rosacea is characterized by episodes of blushing and abnormal facial redness, and is most commonly found with fair-skinned individuals. This redness is particularly noticeable around the nose and cheeks and the central areas of the face. Known triggers of rosacea include: ultraviolet radiation, heat, cold, exercise, chemical irritation, strong emotions, alcoholic beverages, hot drinks, and spices.
One of the best ways to prevent the worsening of rosacea symptoms is by protecting your skin from excessive sun exposure. Daily use of well-formulated sunscreens and cover-ups are essential to keeping rosacea symptoms to a minimum.
